Disconnect Battery. Drop fuel tank. The pump is in the fuel tank. Use a repare manual for that vehicle for he rest for point by point instructions. This is a job that you want to do right the first time.
my 2000 Montana is still on its original fuel pump
There is only one fuel pump fuse on a 2001 Pontiac Montana. It can be found in the engine compartment near the firewall at the rear of the compartment.
Not exactly sure what you're asking for here, but if you mean a fuel pump reset switch, as on a Ford, these vehicles are not equipped with it.
my fuel pump is not work
check the fuse to see if it is blown or replace the fuel pump relay under hood
Yes it does have a sensor, which is located with the fuel pump in the tank. Additional Info: It will cost you about 900$ Canadian to replace the entire fuel pump (the sensor is with the fuel pump).
The fuel filter is integrated with the fuel pump module inside the fuel tank. This filter is not serviceable by itself.
If you are getting no power then the fuse is blown or the relay is defective.
The sending unit and the fuel pump are all one module in the gas tank.
you will need to replace the fuel sensor and it is all in one with the fuel pump its in the gas tank.
In the tank
The fuel pump is inside the gas tank. You will have to lower the fuel tank down, from underneeth the car, and remove the old pump, and replace it with a new one. It is always best to change the fuel filter, at the same time.
