The sensor is in the near side wing mirror If you look at the bottom of the mirror you can see it
Located behind the ds/ front wing of the car. You have to remove the inner plastic mud flaps!

Hi It is in the passenger side wing mirror. If you look on the underside there is a small bobble. That is it. You nedd to remove the glass to remove the sensor.
Scenic 1.. Inside the rear wing, there are 2 X 10mm nut. Normally covered in road crud. Clean them first and the saturate in wd-40. Leave a while and then undo. If the front of the bolt starts to spin on the inside of the filler flap, you have to either tear the plastic apart to grip the bolt or get creative with pliers.
HI THERE, WELL I HAD EXACT SAME PROBLEM, AA MAN WAS STUMPED ALSO, ITS BETWEEN THE O/S BULKHEAD AND INNER WING FOLLOW PIPES BACK CAREFULLY FROM DIESEL FILTER IF ITS STICKY HIT WITH BLUNT END OF SCEWDRIVER SOMTIMES ITS ENOUGH TO LET YOU LIMP HOME BUT WILL NEED REPLACED AT EARLIEST OPPERTUNITY NOT SERVICABLE AND VERY EXPENSIVE. EUROPARTS DID AGOOD DEAL FOR ME MUCH CHEAPER THAN RENAULT CHEERS GOLDIE
if you look from the front of car down on to the side of the box facing the rad you will see a plastic wing nut this is the fill and level point fill tell it comes out the hole .. hope this helps
