For a 1992 Caprice 5.7 Litre Engine: Purchase a Fram Air Filter (part no. CA7017) at Kragen's---they usually run for about $10-$12. 1. Open the hood and you will find the black air filter housing sitting on top of the engine. It should be labeled "Fuel Injection V-8". 2. Locate two metal clips that hold together the area on top of the air filter housing. Unlock the clips as if you were opening a child's lunch box. 3. Carefully pull out the front part of the air filter housing that has the label "Fuel Injection V-8". Take note of how the old filter is setup inside. Now replace it with the new orange filter. 4. Put back together the air filter housing and lock the two metal clips to connect both parts of the housing together. It might be kind of a snug fit since you've installed a new filter, but just work the new filter in there. Last, check around the air filter housing to be sure its properly installed.
