If the water vapour comes in contact with a surface and is allowed to cool and condense, it will turn back to liquid.

For example, if you were to boil a pot of water with a lid on top, the water vapour would rise, touch the underside of the pot lid and condense to form droplets (liquid).

WHAT DO YOU CALL THE CHANGE FROM STEAM OR WATER VAPOR BACK TO LIQUID?

It is called CONDENSATION.

What happened to water vapor before it turned to water?

Water vapor is a gas once it has evaporated from liquid due to the cause of heat. After it turns into vapor, it will then travel up through the atmosphere and change back into a liquid.

What causes water vapor turn back into liquid?

When water vapor is cooled it turns into liquid.

What is the process in which water turns to water vapor?

condensationCondensation is where water vapor turns to liquid. The process is where gas turns to water then vapor and then turns back into liquid.

What is the state of liquid changing into a solid?

CHANGES OF STATE change of state (or change of phase) of a substance describes the change of a substance from a solid to a liquid, liquid to a vapor (or gas), vapor to a liquid, liquid to a solid, solid to vapor, or vapor to a solid. In meteorology you are concerned primarily with the change of state of water in the air. Water is present in the atmosphere in any or all of the three states (solid, liquid, and vapor) and changes back and forth from one state to another. The mere presence of water is important, but the change of state of that water in the air is significant because it directly affects the weather. The solid state of water is in the form of ice or ice crystals. The liquid state of water is in the form of raindrops, clouds, and fogs. The vapor state of water is in the form of unseen gases (water vapor) in the air

The water cycle is the?

Water cycle is the way that water moves from being water vapor, to liquid water and back to water vapor.

How can water change from liquid into a vapor and back again?

It is a cycle like when the clouds clash it causes rain then people use it.

How can water vapor turn back to liquid?

condensation

When liquid water is heated to 100 C it boils and becomes water vapor When the vapor is cooled below 100 C it turns back into a liquid What is the correct name for the process in which the vapor?

(turns into a liquid) condensation

Cooling the air to a temperature below the dew point causes the water vapor to begin to change back into a liquid is what process?

Condensation
