But, according to Section 60 of the Local Government Code of 1991 (RA71, there are list of case that a Punong Barangay or Local Chief Executive, can be terminated in a proper court. The proper court is the Sangguniang Bayan or Sangguniang Panglungsod. A Barangay Kagawad or the majority of the Sangguniang Barangay Member can file a resolution stating and identifying the violation stated in Sec. 60 of the Local Government Code of 1997 (RA7160). To sad that the process is to long and may take 90 regular working days for investigation and 30 days for hearing. But in the end the decision is final and executory.
