Heater core is on the passenger side behind the glove box, this is also the location of the air conditioner evaporator core.. they should be in the same housing.

You can find the heater core behind the kick plate in your 1993 Acura Legend. Remove the water hoses. Remove the heater core retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new heater core.
The heater core has no gasket. If it is leaking, it must be replaced.

You can find the 1985 VW heater core behind the drivers side kick plate. You will need to remove the kick plate in order to access the heater core.
If they disconnected the heater core, it means it was leaking. Get a manual on your car from the parts store and it will show you how to replace the heater core also

follow the heater hose at the rear of the engine and you will find it.
it is believed to be up in behind the dash. it's a job to get out. If you know someone that can do it, it would be best to get it flushed, BUT , you have to be careful doing this, for it could rupture and soak your vehicle. If you take the chance and flush it out and it doesn't rupture, then you will find that it was easier to do this than to tear the dash out to get to the heater core.
