If a battery will not charge, there are either one of two problems.
-
1:The battery has run it's course, and it's energy cells have burnt out through excessive or improper use / bad charging and discharging habits.
Solution: Replace battery.
2:The electronics that route from the wall outlet to the battery are damaged somewhere, rendering the charging capabilities useless. This may be anything, from an electrical short to a bad connection.
Solution: With electrical engineering experience, you may (though it is not recommended) possibly try and inspect the device yourself and fix it with soldering, etc.
No. A battery that will not take a charge has a dead cell. It cannot be repaired and must be replaced.
charge the battery
Charge your battery. Turn it on.
Charge your battery or tighten the battery cables.
Get a new battery
It is possible that your battery and\or alternator has failed. You have to have so much juice to get the safety switch to kick on so that you can move the gear shifter. Put in a new battery or charge the battery and I bet it will solve this. You should be able to take the key out any way. Good luck.
Somehow I got it to work. All I had to do was format the memory and reset the settings to default. I'm still curious, though, about if it will power up by an external usb battery, or if it will only charge by one.
You pull the battery out and put all the parts in a bowl of rice which dries it out.
See if you can have someone fix it otherwise just buy a new one if you can afford it.
You will have to replace it. It just might not be able to hold the charge. Also, check the charge rate at the battery, with the rev's up around 2,600 you should get around 14 volts.
If it still won't charge buy a new charger. If it still doesn't charge take it to your local phone store and they will fix it for you.
If the battery is defective there's no way to fix the battery must just replace the battery.
