What is the problems with it? does your ski rev up really high and not going fast? if so this is called Cavitation. You can fix this problem by buying a aftermarket Intake grate, or by doing a pump seal kit. Or a new impeller. I had cavitation, and I did all 3 things. I now have no cavitation and my ski is running very good! Also if you don't have cavitation, it can be many things. Servo motor is broken Your throttle cable is not fully connected/loose Intake problem Impeller problem any questions, message... or post and I will get back! good luck, hope all is well!
What is a cavitation plate on a boat?
A cavitation plate is the adjustable metal plate that runs along the bottom of the transom on a V-drive. Some people call the flat metal plate on an outboard or outdrive a cavitation plate but the correct name is anti ventilation plate and cavitation and ventillation are not the same. It is similar in function to Trim Tabs. A cavitation plate is used to adjust the trim of a V-Drive and keep the nose on the water. A cavitation plate is a permanent horizontal plate on the vertical shaft of the outboard right above the propeller. It sits just at the water level when the boat is up on plane (ie: flush with the bottom of the boat, for a planing style hull).It prevents 'cavitation' of the propeller ie: prevents air from the surface of the water being picked up by the action of the propeller.
