A couple of possible solutions: A) Your firewall is stopping the connection. COMODO is the worst for this. Try shutting down the firewall and reconnecting. B) the other solution is to add the DNS and IP address in your file C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts (open in Notepad) To do this: 1) Got to START/RUN and type in CMD
2) Ping to the DNS address, like www.giveawayoftheday.com (this is how I fixed my connection to this web site). Note the IP address
3) Open up C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts (again open up with Notepad) and enter in the IP address followed by the DNS address (without the http://) and save the file. Now try to reconnect and see if it works. C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

In order to fix Snapshell for Windows, you need to fix it after the sleep mode. Snapshell is a program that programmers and web developers will use on Windows computers.
This error is caused by one or more Windows services being disabled. To fix it, you will need to go to Start > Run, and enter "services.msc" (without quotes). Here, you will see a list of services, their description, and whether or not they are running. The most common services that give people this error message are the "Help and Support Service" (for launching Help), Windows Image Acquisition Service (for cameras and scanners), and the Print Spooler service (for printers). Some programs and drivers, such as for Lexmark printers, may also have services that need turned on. Right-click the service you need, select "Properties", and use the drop box to change its starup type from "Disabled" to "Automatic." You can also start the service here, or you can reboot your computer.
