Give your VIN to a GM parts and service center and they should be able to supply a replacement

In my '91 the switch cost about $60 and the key was about $30 that's because they have an electrical element in the key that's read by the switch. There are a couple of fine wires leading from the switch that is usually the first thing to go.They BOTH must be replaced as a set, sorry to say.Although, the actual replacement isn't all that dificult.

MY BUICK HAD A SIMILAR PROBLEM. IT CAN BE CAUSED BY EITHER THE CRANK OR CAM SENSOR. BOTH SIGNALS ARE NECESSARY TO FIRE AT THE CORRECT TIME. THE ERROR CODE SHOULD TELL IF THAT IS THE PROBLEM.

Remember that the number one problem with these vehicles is fuel pump related. Check your fuel pressure ;your pump may be getting weak.

The mass air flow sensor is located in the throttle body housing on the 3800 engine. There should be 4 screws that hold it down to the housing. Once they screws are removed, the sensor lifts off of the throttle body.
