You cannot get Wi-Fi unless you are near a Wi-Fi hotspot because it is unlike carrier data where it can be streamed from a tower 'anywhere'. However, there are apps on the app store that promote user sharing of passwords and lists of WiFi hotspots that you can look up yourself. In settings, if you come across any unlocked or unsecure networks, you can log into those connections without a password as well.
