white with spots and it looks like a cat
It's hard for the identify people.
Part your cat's fur at the lump and try to identify if the lump is part of the cat, or something on it. If it is not part of the cat, try to identify what it is. If it is a burr, remove it gently with your hands or a brush. If it is a tick, grab the tick's body and SLOWLY pull it off.
Meowm
Does the cat have an "M" on its head? if so its a Mane Coon. I imagine your cat is this or an American Domestic Longhair, this are mixed cats.
The cat are recognizing other cats, by smell. It is also to identify the other cat, and can be some sort of communication between the two cats.

Well, the pet shop owners should tell you, but if they didn't, you could browse through a book or the internet to identify your pet's breed.
yellow or amber eyes I believe.Another AnswerOne single trait (such as eye colour) does not depict if a cat is a pure breed or not. Moggies (mixed breeds) can have any eye colour, depending on their genes. The only way to really tell is if the cat comes with papers, or a DNA test. Even mixed or cross breeds can look similar to a certain breed, but again, its often difficult to determine correctly just by looking at the cat.
