I posted the above question.
I know that if I miss a couple of pills in a row, I will start spotting. So if I ditch the last few days of pills, that should do the trick (supposedly).
My real question is: Would it be more "natural" for my body if I skip the 7th pill of each week? I would like to take this fast-forward route if it works :)
Yes it can make your period arrive one day later than usual
When you first start taking birth control, your period may arrive or it may not. Its different in every woman. If your period doesn't arrive this month then don't worry as its a common occurrance in the first month of birth control. Continue taking your pills as normal.
Your period will come naturally. Birth control does not help you get your period. Your body decides when you will get your period.
Period can arrive anytime after the withdrawal bleed from 4 weeks to 8 weeks. Its different in every woman.
Hi, Your question is: Started taking birth control without your period starting is that bad? No this isn't bad hun but your period will arrive on a different date and will continue to arrive on the same date every month providing you take your pills everyday and don't miss any pills. You must also know that birth control will not be effective at preventing pregnancy until you've been taking it for 4 weeks and had your first period on the pill. After this time you can have unprotected intercourse, but you will need to use a condom up until this time.
Hi, Yes this does sometimes happen. If your period hasn't arrive in 4 weeks perform a pregnancy test and see your Doctor.
Hi, You can start taking birth control whenever you wish but you must never miss a dose as this will increase your chances of pregnancy. If you want your period to arrive on the same date then take your birth control on the 1st day of your period. You must continue to take birth control everyday and not miss a pill. If you miss a pill or several pills then you're at risk of pregnancy and you must always use a condom for 2 weeks when you miss one or more pills. Birth control does not reach its full effectiveness until you've been taking it for one month and you've received your 1st period while on birth control.
Continue taking your birth control pills as scheduled.
Yes
Hi, Your question is: Should my period start the first day after I am through the hormone pills in a birth control pack? Not necessarily no. Your period will arrive anytime during the 7 days when your on the placebo pills or not taking any pills.
Most women will have their period within a week or two of stopping birth control pills, and may be fertile from the first day they stop taking it. If you have stopped taking birth control and have not had your regular period as expected, you need a pregnancy test to be sure whether you are pregnant or not.
Hello,Your question is:If you have finished the first 21 days of your birth control pill on Saturday and today is Wednesday but you are not on your period yet why is this?If you've just started taking birth control pills then this is probably why your period hasn't arrived. It's quite common to miss a period during the first month of taking birth control pills. If you've missed any pills then this will also effect your cycle. Your period will arrive anytime during the 7 day break.
