for lighter lips i suggest to put a lot of Vaseline/100 percent petroleum jelly but remember to wash before going out in the sun because that makes lips darker also using a smooth soft brush brush your lips with the Vaseline blood circulation will let your lips become red and light this process also removes dead skin then use a lip balm or chap stick that is pink i use pearl it looks nice you can use other types try to have a lip balm or chap stick with you all the time you also can put lemon juice thank u and good bye
to make your skin look lighter or darker depends in the color of lipstick.

I have used Loreal's toasted almond lipstick and I love it for everyday look. I have thick lips so I like to wear non-glossy lipstick and the texture and the color of toasted almond is perfect for me. I tried lighter shades but they didn't really suit my complexion.
lipstick is just a color and lipgloss is a color or glitter and makes your lips shiner.
Don't dye it or do highlights. Usually the sun will make it lighter but if you want to keep it your natural color i wouldn't do any chemically dyes.

A pigment is a color. A lipstick pigment is what makes it the right color and shade, for example you have red pigments in red lipstick; blue & yellow pigments in green lipsticks; etc.
== Lighter, just opinion. == A darker foundation or "base" would work better. Do a quick drawing and check it out if you can't visualize it. From the ground up, it gets lighter, and that's a more "natural" progression.
Audrey's lipstick color in that movie was more of a peachy pink. I think Hue from MAC or Pink in the Afternoon from Revlon are your best bets! :) I know, I love that lipstick color too!
a color that is a few shades lighter than your own natural hair color
