Torque is used when taking off or pulling a load. The more torque you have the faster the car will take off.
The car will jerk, feel like there is something heavy slowing it down and then it will not move. It happened to me today and you will know it when it happens. The car will not be able to move until that axle is fixed (which is a cheap fix)
of course it is. it needs gas to move, to start, and to run
the gauges move in the first place bacause of air pressure/temp so when u shut off your car the pressure is released because the gauges would break more frequently otherwise.

That would be your transmission. It may be slipping, or you may be lossing a gear. Have it checked.
