Anal odors come from E Coli in stool (feces, bowel movements), and from yeast. Remember that bacteria and yeast excrete proteins as they colonize; these proteins cause itching and inreased odor. Sweat increases the odor and itching from both of these.
The only way to stop odors is--
- wipe well after bowel movements
- wash with soap and hot water
- shower and wash there after playing sports
- always shower before and after sex
- talk to your doctor if odor or itching persists
