BioKleen makes a great product called Bac-Out. Soak the urine spot with the Bac-Out, wait approx. 20 to 30 minutes and blot it up. The smell will be gone, but the Bac-Out leaves a clean lime scent. It is a fantastic product and has worked for me when everything else I tried did not work. You can probably find at your local green grocery store.

∙ 9y agoIt is a tough smell to remove. But you can have some effect by picking up the feces that have been left behind, raking the gravel so it is even again. Add mothballs over the area. It will smell like the mothballs until they dissolve but it should be better. The advantage is that cats will avoid the area while there are mothballs. If the smell is on cement, bricks or other material, you will need to wash the surface with TSP or other strong cleanser, soak and then rinse. It may be helpful to add mothballs to the area to prevent recurrence--if you don't have children or small pets who will come in contact with them.

∙ 10y agoCat urine odor is not the easiest thing to eliminate entirely, but it can be done. There are numerous detergents with enzymatic agents to help break down the odor-causing agents. One should use a wet carpet cleaner, not a steam cleaner ans they can actually allow the odor to penetrate deeper. Following up with baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) or baking soda based air freshener is recommended after cleaning to eliminate any remaining odor. After allowing it to absorb the odors for an hour or two, the baking soda can be vacuumed away.
