Run the car without the fuel pump fuse until it stops.
Behind the glovebox .
To remove the starter motor from a Daewoo Tacuma, first, disconnect the battery to ensure safety. Then, locate the starter motor, usually found near the engine block, and remove any necessary components that may obstruct access, such as the air intake or engine cover. Disconnect the electrical connections from the starter and unbolt it from its mounting. Finally, carefully pull the starter motor out and replace it with a new one if needed.
Behind the glovebox toward the firewall, you will see a set of wires (4-I think) that pug into a plug with two small screws holding it in. This is it, remove the plug and screws and pull straight down.
Get the used engine! The engine is an "interferance type", damage to valve train when the belt brakes.
Hi, here is a pic of a 1999 Daewoo Lanos Motor Regards Pacnat1
IT is an INTERFERENCE engine.
If you mean the belt fell off the gears while the engine was running, you will have to replace the cylinder head. This is a zero clearance DOHC motor. When timing jumps, slips, or belt slips or breaks, you WILL have broken valves. Be prepared for a lengthy search---even for a salvaged head---Daewoo parts are becoming scarcer by the day---good luck
The starter motor on a Daewoo Matiz is typically located near the bottom of the engine, mounted on the transmission bell housing. To access it, you may need to lift the vehicle and remove any undercarriage covers. It is usually positioned towards the passenger side of the engine bay. Always consult the vehicle's service manual for specific details and instructions.
I found all the answers I need on EBSCO Host. Its a electronic data base that my local library subscribes to. The diagram was basically a Chilton's style layout. Try it out. ===Usefull Site=== Found this site useful. Imagine most Daewoo owners will. http://acdc-service.ru
with a motor dolley
If it's the same as the 2000, it's located behind the motor and mounted in the middle of the firewall. It's the silver cylinder. I had a very difficult time removing one side for whatever reason. Good luck.
You remove the axle nuts and a ball joint to remove the CV axles. Then you remove the shifter linkage. Remove the starter and all the other stuff that's hooked to the tranny. Then you place a jack under the engine. Remove all the bolts holding the tranny and the engine together. Now unhook a couple motor mounts, raise the car up, drop the engine down and slide the tranny out. You do not have to remove the motor to take the engine out. You simply need to take all the bolts out of the tranny that are going into the motor and then remove it from the motor with the motor in the car.
