How to remove the kingpins on the front of a 1986 Honda trx 250 fourtrax?

Hit with a hammer but not so much as to mushroom the top, if that doesn't free them, pull the assembly and bring to a machine shop to have them pressed out. I had mine pressed out locally, cost about 10 bucks.
If they can't be pressed out, they're in there for life.
