Disconnect the battery. Remove the ignition coils. Remove the ignition control module that was under the coils, and replace it.

under the coils
a '95 riviera does not have a distributor. If you mean the ignition coils, then you probably looking at bad ignition module-located under the coils. Or bad crank sensor.
How do replace the ignition switch on 1995 Honda Civic EX with a manual tranny. I was wondering if it is pretty much the same as the 1995 Accord.

1995 ford 350 1 ton box truck ignition replacement
the timing on a '95 buick is set eletronicly. this car has no distributor, instead has an "waste spark" ignition with 3 coils that fire on command from an ignition module that the three coils are plugged into. if it is the timing belt you seek to replace then i suggest you go to your local library and look at the appropriate maintance manuel for that car. Probably a "Motors or Chilton" manuel would cover this proceedure. good luck
Ignition coils can go bad with age. They can also be damaged by a bad alternator putting out improper or unclean voltages.
Check local library for service manuals
