You need to remove the intake manifold. There are two sensors one in the front and one in the rear. I would replace them both. It is recommended that you put a dam of RTV silicone 3/4 around location and leave the back portion open to let water drain out. The silicone does not go on the cover of the knock sensor but on the valley pan approx 1/8 in front of it.
a swivel socket
You shouldn't have to - the knock sensor is supposed to adjust the timing automatically. If the vehicle is mistimed, you might need to replace the knock sensor.
that the knock sensor does
Trouble code P0325 means: Knock Sensor 1 Circuit (Bank 1) Replace the Knock Sensor
The knock sensor is on the passenger side of the motor along the top of the oil pan about half way on the block.
The knock sensor is located below the intake manifold
Where is the knock sensor in a 1999 Infinity I30?
It is screwed into the water jacket on the side of the engine block just in front of the starter. It is HARD to see. It will have an electrical connector plugged into it.
