How to replace passenger side rear view mirror on 2003 Honda Odyssey can't unplug the cable from mirror?

Start by removing the door panel: Remove the screw by the power door lock switch and the one in the little well by the power window switch. Then use a flathead screwdriver to pry off the speaker cover. There are 3 more black screws underneath the speaker cover, remove them. Pull out the handle with the power window switch and disconnect the wire harness (Just squeeze and pull...). The trickiest part is removing the piece with the power lock and door handle. After trying to gently pry it off (couldn't), I had to slide the housing forward toward the front of the van and it popped right out. Be careful cause it is still connected to the door lock mechanism. You will see a little plastic piece holding the lock rod in place. Use some needle nose pliers to move the plastic piece off of the rod (it rotates) and then the rod will pop off. then remove the power harness the same way you removed the other one. Now just take a flathead screwdriver and gently pry around the outer edges of the door panel and the clips will pop off fairly easily (I started closest to the front of the van and worked my way around the bottom). Now you should be able to lift up on the door panel and remove it.

After the door panel is off, the plugin will be hidden behind a membrane. Using your hand follow the wire to the connectors and cut an "x" shape in the membrane to reveal the connection. Squeeze the tabs and pull the connectors apart. You'll now need to remove the the trim plate that covers the bolts holding the mirror on, using flathead screwdriver pry the plastic panel away from the door at the top right. There's only (1) clip holding it on. Remove the (4) bolts holding the mirror in place, slide the wire out through the hole and install the new mirror. Remember to seal up the membrane with some red "tuck" tape to reinstate the membrane. Re-install the door panel.
