There is a brake switch which is actually behind the brake pedal, the fuse would not have blown its more like the brake switch. Easily fixed too.

don't bother. i know about 99% of the time the brake lights don't work are because the brake light switch on the brake pedal has failed. I've changed about 50 of the dam things. their a weak point especially on the the au falcons.

Slide the switch sideways, the brake switch comes off. Look where the plastic spacers are before you remove the switch. Unplug the switch Ford part number for the switch is E73B-13480-AA
