You can restore your utility backup on your app on your phone by using the App Backup and Restore.
You can backup and restore your contacts using many free and paid available Android apps which are available on playstore. The easiest method is you install the app and then backup the contacts on either cloud or in the phone (I prefer cloud method) and then you install same app on new phone, login with same account and then restore your contacts. I am sharing few apps for you which I hope will solve your problem. > Contacts Backup: Data Recovery, Transfer & Restore > SMS Backup & Restore Pro > SMS Backup+ App Try these and I hope that it will help you.
Assuming you have a newer version of Android OS on your current phone, when you upgrade to a newer phone, all the apps you had previously downloaded will transfer to that new phone. You can also download apps that can backup the data that is in an app (saving it to your external SD), and after retrieving the apps into your new phone, you can restore the data that was backed up. If your phone is rooted, you can use backup apps which can mass backup all the data that you have.
As many users do not realize it, you restore your phone and wipe it out before installing every update. Before updating, your phone would automatically make a backup of it's data and put that data back on the phone afterward. Sometimes there are cases when updating to iOS 5 that you lose all of your apps, but luckily redownloading them off the App Store again will restore them with all of their data.

Install and run the Android app backup tool on your computer, then it will ask you to connect your Android device to the computer via a USB cable or via Wi-Fi.After your Android connect to the program successfully, you will be taken to the home window of your phone. As you can see, all your Android data (Music, Videos, Photos, Contacts, SMS and Apps) will be detected by the Android Transfer app and listed in the left column of the window. You can backup these data one-by-one or backup them all at one time by clicking on "One-Click Backup" on the main interface.Check the contacts, SMS, applications, calendar, playlists, call log, apps and playlist info and select a location by hitting on "Browse", and then click on "Back Up" to finfish the backup work.
Forever! If you buy or download and app from the App Store, it will remain on your phone until you delete it. It could also get removed if you restore your iPhone. But other than that, it will last forever.

It means if you have bought anything on the particular app before you updated it you can restore those things you bought on that app
