If you are referring to a photo just burn it to a CD withing iPhoto.
iLife is a suite of applications, found in the Applications folder, which includes iPhoto, iMovie, Garageband etc.
Just connect a digital camera to the iMac and turn the camera on. iPhoto will open and import the photos or videos. Be patient it may take awhile the first time you do it.
iMac is a fantastic photo and video editing computer. You can do some photo editing with the built in iPhoto and some serious video editing with the built in iDVD.
Beside the menu items you will see an arrow pointing to the right. Just click it and all the folders will appear in each category. There is Library, Recent, Albums, Facebook, and Keepsakes. There is no menu bar on the left. The menu bar which corresponds to iPhoto is on the top of the screen (Left) when you open iPhoto.
iPhoto is not part of operating system default programs. iPhoto is released as part of iLife suite, which must be bought and installed separately. If you have the original installation discs that came with the computer iPhoto and all the other default applications can be installed from there but they may not be compatible with Tiger if you have upgraded from some earlier version.
Because you burned them in the wrong format or you did not finalize the project. This must be done in iDVD and not in iPhoto.
The best way would probably be to get a hardware specialist to download the photos of the main drive of your iMac.
Yes, just insert the Sandisk into a USB port and click the icon that will appear on your screen and click open. Drag the photos to iPhoto.

Plug your camera or card reader into your mac via a usb cable. Then open up iphoto and click the import all photos button. It may take a while to import if the file sizes are larger.
