More than likely the smell is not actually Hydrogen Sulfide, it is more than likely the odor too many bacteria leave in the pipes when the water has sat there for some time. If this faucet is one that you don't use very often that is likely the cause. If you could chlorinate the piping system, that might help.

Q: How to stop Hydrogen sulfide from an upstairs sink cold water. Odor goes away after running the water for 1 or 2 minutes. Water is from public water system. There is no odor from any any other sinks.?
