The back up light switch on the 1994 Ford Aerostar is located on the side of the transmission. To remove it the wires must first be unplugged. Next the all screws must be removed.
my 1993 and 1994 dosent have anyway of doing it!
There is no separate switch for it. Pushing the light switch will defeat the dome and courtesy lamps.
I own a 1992 Aerostar. I believe you will find a reset switch button behind the covering under the dash on the passenger side of the front. You should be able to gently pull the cover back away and reach in, locate the switch and press the reset button.
I was told by my parts guy that the back up light switch is the same as the reverse light switch.
the back up light switch is located in the gear shifter console
switch is on the transmission
You can try to reset your brake light switch by unplugging the brake light switch and plugging it back in. If that does not solve your problem you will need to replace the brake light switch.
the back?
it's the nut behind the wheel!
For an automatic transmission, the switch is part of the Neutral Safety Switch. I have a '95 Camry and my switch works about 10% of the time. My mechanic has checked out the alignmnet and it is ok, so it looks like the switch contact is at fault. Price check with a local supplier said $238 for the part. I am seriously considering a manual override switch for the lights. That is too much money to turn a light on!
posibbly the overdrive sensor we had a 88 ford aerostar that did the same thing
On a 1989 C1500, the back up light switch is located on the driver's side of the transmission. It is just behind the area that is bolted to the motor.
