You should replace your fuel filter every 12,000 to 15,000 miles, and because they are cheap enough, when in doubt, just replace it. Be careful when you do, Make sure to relieve the fuel pressure first and try not to damage the fuel lines. It kinda goes without saying, but no smoking while you are replacing a fuel filter.
No just 1 fuel filter, and sorry to be the one to tell you, but in 2004 Chevy started putting the fuel filter inside of the FUEL TANK.
Sorry to be the one to tell you, But in 2004 Chevy moved the fuel filter from the frame rail and put it INSIDE of the fuel tank.
No. Tell us what the problem is you are having.
Sorry to be the 1 to tell you this, but it is inside of the fuel tank. GM. took it out of the frame rail in 2004 and moved it to the fuel tank.
you get some wrench and turn them and the fuel filter will come right out if you need more details let me know and i can tell you how to turn the wrenches if need be
Any sign of fuel starving, or if the vehicle has over 36,000 miles on it.
Fuel lines don't get "stopped up" but fuel filters do. Start with replacing the fuel filter. Then have a fuel pressure test done if you still have problems.
i have a citreon c2 vtr can you tell me the location of the fuel filter?
Anyplace that sells oil filters can tell you the correct size filter. I recommend you use AC/Delco, Purolator, Wix or a Bosch filter. All are excellent quality filters.
The fuel filter is under the car in the rear, between the fuel tank and the rear axle. It is very easy to get to. The fuel pump is on top / inside of the fuel tank. To access the fuel pump you will have to drop the fuel tank. http://www.alldatadiy.com/ you can check at this web site or call your any AUTO ZONE and they will be able to tell you exactly.
Read your question again. All I can tell you with the information you provided is that the fuel filter is located somewhere between the fuel tank and the engine. Follow the fuel lines and you will find it.
Need to check the fuel filter and run a fuel pressure test on the fuel pump first. I would give you the fuel pressure specs and tell you where the fuel filter is but you did not say what year are engine size it is. If you don't find your problem in this area, then ask your question again with all of the info. THANK YOU.
