There are many types of parrots, but if you are talking about a green-cheeked conure, there is not really a way to tell the gender, especially when they are young. I have one, and they say the females have a generally rounder body shape than the males, so we think she is a girl (quite a beautiful one at that). Another way to tell the gender, if possible, is to have a blood test on them. There is not usually any markings that distinguish one gender from another.

∙ 13y agoYou can't on any bird. Well, you could do a REALLY expensive surgery, that is risky, but you can't unless your bird lays eggs. THEN you know she is a female.
