I suppose you meen Personal Digital Assistant, ie a PDA or a pocket PC. A good pocket PC/smartphone would be ideal for keeping everyone updated on the progress of something (eg repairing an electrical substation) or what has broken and needs looking at (eg fire extinguisher) I have a qtek 9100 and a dell axim x30. The qtek is a smartphone, but it can't go on the internet or email unless it is connected to a wifi network, as there are better ones available that let you do that on the mobile phone service provider. The dell is just a pocket PC, but the top model for it has bluetooth and wifi, but no phone. I would suggest using a blackberry storm or an iPhone 3GS.
Hope I've been helpful.
