Clean the quinoa very well with water so as to get rid of its bitterness.
Put it in a pot on the gas and switch on the gas to get rid of the water and toast the quinoa grains a little.
Once toasted add 1.5x times water to the quantity of quinoa.
Once it starts to boil cover the pot for 12 minutes to cook on a medium heat.
After 12 minutes, switch off the gas and let the pot sit covered for 10 minutes more.
Now fluff the quinoa using a fork and voila, it is ready to be eaten right away.
Quinoa cooks very similarly to rice, meaning that you use 2 parts water to every 1 part quinoa/rice. Just remember to rinse the quinoa before cooking. Then boil the water and cook the quinoa for about 10 minutes or so. And since quinoa is loaded with protein, fiber, and iron, it's as healthy as it is easy to make.
