You can reduce vibration by putting pressure on whatever is vibrating therefore making it need more energy to vibrate again.
If you're taking about a system, you need to make the parts and joints of it work together more finely. In other words, you turn up the frequency of the vibration.
Vibration is the frequency of the wave.
The rapid back and forth of air or other matter is the sounds vibration (vibration is the anwser).
Vibration is defined as a mechanical fluctuation from one point to another point. There are mainly two types of vibration involved in vibration analysis: free vibration and forced vibration. Free vibration occurs when an object is turned on, such as a clothes dryer and a lawnmower, and is left to vibrate on its own. Forced vibration happens when an outside object or occurrence vibrates an object. The lawnmower shakes due to an earthquake would be an example of this. Furthermore, vibration monitoring is also another important part of analysis.
The vibration was felt across the city.

reduced vibration, especially on tick over
Hi vibration of a machine hs related to its resonanse frequence. if u vibrate a machine with its resonanse frequence it would vibrate mortally.. Rahimi2709@yahoo.com

Something is out of balance, maybe the water pump is on its way out.
Where does it feel like the vibration is coming from? Engine? IS it in the steering wheel? Do you feel it in the seat of your pants? Your question is too general to provide you with any kind of info. Try to isolate where you think the vibration is coming from, rear of car like a loose exhaust pipe or maybe right under where you sit or is it in the front. Put the car in neutral and see if the vibration stops, if it does, that means it is coming from the tranmission. Rev the engine with the tranny in neutral, does the vibration go away or does it get worse? Get as much info and repost with your info and maybe we can help you.
maybe if people do not use their cars
I doubt it is a transmission problem. It sounds like the engine is in need of some attention maybe even some motor mounts.
coranary artery disease maybe
Maybe
maybe but it could also be your flex tube which absorbs most of the vibration. If it is cracked or broken than you will feel a lot more vibration because it is no longer being absorbed.
