Why was Malcolm X so important to his time?

In actuality Malcolm X was a product of racism. unfortunate that some view Malcolm not from his stance of the pulse of the conditions of people of color. Instead some would rather look through a distorted lens that the public wanted him to be viewed from. Malcolm was the voice for many proletarians who feared speaking out about the conditions of racism,despair,drug -usage,etc; His resistance to the power structure's definition of a person of colour made him very important to those who felt no significance as human beings, while Martin Luther King Jr was soliciting for civilrights Malcolm was petitioning us and aboard about our rights to be respected as human beings.

To wrap it up, Malcolm X first agreed that blacks and whites should be separated. It wasn't until he went on his pilgrimage that he saw black and white Islams praying together. For some reason, that convinced him that black and white people can come together. He later became a Civil Rights Activist. He was shot giving a speech and was rushed to the hospital where he died.
