How was World War 2 won?

World War Two was a war that involved a number of campaigns, so it is difficult to answer simply. The first campaign involved Europe and Africa where the Axis (consisting of Germany, under an Austrian leader Hilter, and Italy, under Mussolini) forces tried to take over the continents of Europe and Africa. Later Japan joined the Axis group forming the Tripartite Pact and were involved in the take over of the Asian continent. The Main European campaign ended when the Allied Forces of England, Free France, America and Russia forced the Axis forces back to Germany and eventually back to Berlin where Hilter killed himself in his command bunker. The Asian campaign ended when the Americans dropped two atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki and the Russian army attacked the Japanese in Manchuria roughly three months later.
