He followed the currents. There is a very powerful current from Europe that moves ships towards North America. He was only at sea 33 days.
Voyage to the Americas would not have been possible without the support of Queen Isabella of Spain, also he was a sailer
Christopher Columbus was a man that was curious because he discovered America.
No. Because they were giving Christopher Columbus spices without trading with anyone
Christopher Columbus was very adventurous as a child and if you are adventurous, you'd want to go on an adventure! Explorers went on many "adventures" so obviously Christopher chose to become one. So without any delays, he made up his mind... He Wanted To Be An Explorer! And, so he did. -Mel :-) **P.S. I really hoped this helped you!**
Christopher Columbus named America after Amerigo Vespucci, an Italian map maker who showed Columbus that the lands discovered by him (Christopher Columbus) were actually separate lands, not an extension of the Spice Islands and part of Asia as Columbus believed. Christopher Columbus did not name America after Amerigo Vespucci. That was done by a German cartographer/mapmaker named Martin Waldseemüller in 1507. Waldseemüller was mislead by a book apparently written by Matthias Ringmann, which was based on a letter said to have been written by Vespucci, but which has proved to be a fake. Waldseemüller later produced other maps without the name America on them, but in 1538 Gerardus Mercator applied the name to the entire New World in his maps, and this was accepted, even though Spain did not recognize the name for over 200 years, stating that Columbus should get the credit.

Many people recognize Christopher Columbus as the person to discover the New World. Without his discovery many people feel that the United States would not be in existence today. For this reason they celebrate Columbus Day in recognition of this event.

One example of an early explorer who died of old age would be Christopher Columbus. Columbus lived to be around 54 years old, passing away in 1506 without achieving the wealth and recognition he had hoped for from his exploration efforts.

Contradicting popular belief, Christopher Columbus didnt think that the world was round, he thought he could sail around the world without falling off the edge. People didnt think this could be done, but Christopher Columbus's reasoning for this was that he could reach the east indies because the world was a cylinder. If you roll up a map you can under stand this because then, nobody had discovered up past the edges of Antarctica and the Arctic. So, Christopher Columbus didnt have much support in going to the east indies. Also, the Spanish didnt give him a very good ship either. They thought he was going to die. When he got there he killed many of the natives and enslaved others. That is why we think he is crazy now, but this isnt what we teach in elementary school
ChaCha and the internet says that she died from childbirth with her second child.
