In 1940 the first Robin (Dick Grayson) made his debut in Detective Comics #38.In 1983 the second Robin (Jason Todd) made his debut in Batman #357.In 1991 the third Robin (Tim Drake) made his debut in a Robin Limited Series.
The Spring issue of Batman came out in May 1940 ; this was the first issue in his own book .Batman's first appearance was in Detective Comics # 27 which came out in May of 1939 .
