Great Hungarian plain
The large fertile plain that is found in Hungary is the Great Hungarian Plain. The resources found throughout this plain include ore, natural gas, petroleum, magnesium, coal, and iron ore.
In the southern and eastern parts of the country is the Great Hungarian Plain (also known as Great Alföld, Alföld, or Pannonian Plain). The associated steppe biome is called the puszta (or pusta), which is Hungarian for plains.

That's puszta. The "puszta" word means barren, desert or bleak in Hungarian. The area Magyar (Hungarian) Puszta is a steppe biome on the Great Hungarian Plain (Alföld) around the River Tisza in the eastern part of Hungary. The Hungarian puszta is an enclave of the Eurasian Steppe.
