The trip for the Italians to get to America was not an easy one. They traveled by boat in poor and rough conditions and many arrived in America with nothing more than the clothing on their backs.

the journey was hard for almost all of the immigrants coming to America because it took up to 1 to 3 immigrants and you had to share a room with up to 250 people that you didnt even know. You would also get very seasick and couldnt eat anything or else you would throw up or some thimes you could die and your body would get thrown off the ship:(.

Gli italiani e l'America is an Italian equivalent of the incomplete English phrase "Italians and America." The phrase translates literally as "the Italians and the America" since Italian employs definite articles where English does not use "the." The pronunciation will be "LYEE-ta-LYA-nee ey la-MEY-ree-ka" in Italian.
