Long, hard and dangerous.

You travelled by:

1. Ship. Up and down the coast, with threats of storms, and pirates.

2. Foot or horse back. Attacks by robbers, indians, wild animals and poor weather conditions all hindered one's journey.

3. Carriage. Expensive and long travels. Again similar problems as with traveling by foot.
