It was very hard for them to find jobs. It was dangerous in the south because they never wanted slavery to end. People were racist. There was a lot of segregation among companies and discrimination which made it hard for African Americans to have a voice in society.People were treated differently and blcks stepped up and now we should thank them for having the rights we have today because of their sacrifices.

Blacks were still treated unfairly because the whites...... Treated them like animals u were lucky if u found a white that thought we were all equal. We still had seperate laws from them like the blacks couldnt sit in the same seat as a whit on the buses. We had worse jobs and it was hard to find homes.
