What the advantages for preamplifier?

The job of a preamplifier is to turn a low-voltage, high-impedance signal susceptible to signal degradation, into a higher-voltage, low-impedance signal. This process is often referred to as adding gain, and preamplifier specifications often refer to how much gain the preamp provides without introducing audible noise. The output of the preamplifier can then be safely sent along to a power amplifier that will raise the current to levels that can drive speakers.

What is the antonym for fault?

A fault is a flaw or a disadvantage. An antonym for fault would be virtue, advantage, asset, merit, or strength.

What are symmetrical and unsymmetrical faults?

the fault in electrical transmission line which give rise to symmetrical fault current is called symmetric fault. e.g; L-L-L-G fault. the fault in transmission line which give rise to unsymmetrical fault current is called unsymmetrical fault.e.g; L-L , L-L-G , L-G fault to solve the unsymmetrical fault, the fault current can be represented by sum of the sequences--zero phase sequence , +ve phase sequence , -ve phase sequence. where L:line G:ground

How can you locate a Ground Fault break?

A ground fault happens when (usually mains) electricity is conducted outside it's intended path and tries to get to ground by the shortest path. If you touch something 'hot' electrically while you are grounded, or are also touching something that is grounded, you will become that shortest path to ground and will be shocked and possible killed. A ground fault can occur in normal mains wiring. For example, if a conductor is not properly insulated and it touches another conductor or the conduit it runs through it can can 'short circuit' to ground causing a ground fault. A ground fault can also occur in a defective or miswired electrical receptacle or appliance. To find the fault you have to be familiar with wiring for the structure in question, and have to trace the wiring through it's circuit, possibly to the mains connection to the structure. For example, if you know that certain problem plug receptacles in a particular house are on their own circuit, you can open them and may be able to visually check for shorts and that the wires are connected properly.

What is symmetrical fault in transmission line?

A symmetrical fault is a fault where all three phases are experiencing the same thing. This is also called a three phase fault, since all three phases are involved.

How do you locate underground cable fault?

Time Domain Reflectometers can be used to locate where an underground cable fault lies. Time Domain Reflectometry (See wikipedia) is a measurement technique to identify the location using reflected signals sent down the cable line.

What is the six point fault finding technique?

1. Test the system, ie make measurements or collect other evidence 2. Analyse the readings 3. Locate fault based on analysis (step 2) 4. Determine the original cause of the fault. (ie find a method to prevent recurrence) 5. Repair the fault (bearing in mind step 4) 6. Retest the system

What does a preamplifier do?

A pre-amp is a type of amplifier used in sound systems. It usually amplifies the signals coming from microphones or low amplitude signals coming from any other sources. The pre-amplified signals can then be amplified to a greater extent when the signals are sent to the main amplifier. Because some microphones are low voltage or are wireless the signals are weak compared to older style microphones.
