First of all, if Canada got the black plague the results would not have been as devastating. Why? because our cities, provinces, and country are much cleaner, we don't through our garbage in the streets. In Alberta they have 'Rat Police' if you have rats at your home or farm you call the number and they come get rid of the rats. If Canada got the black plague, I'm guessing more provinces would get there own 'Rat Police'. Although the rats weren't the cause of the plague, they helped spread the fleas. Today, we know/have our ideas of how and what caused the black plague unlike in 1347 when they had no idea what was going on. If we don't already, I'm sure scientists would be able to create some sort of cure or solution. But, if all the things i just talked about became irrelevant and the plague spread the same way it did in 1347 Canada would change immensely. Having 1/3 of its population die, would be a pretty big problem. Schools, Jobs, Government... all of Canada and North America would be affected negatively. The economy especially.
