Firstly, know what you think great customer service looks like. Look for situations and examples when you had an idea, a client, or customer call, where you personally went that extra mile. Did you change a process or procedure? Or perhaps a staff member you mentored, coached or advised delivered a great customer service win or result for your team, brand or business.
I would define this as making sure the customer is satisfied and answering any questions he/she may have along with any other advice you may have to meet the customers needs. I have advised someone to go to the superviser when they could not get anything resolved from the lower levels of management ( paper delivery problem) I asked her if she talked to a superviser about the problem, when she said she had not I advised her to talk toc upper management. Sometimes this is the only way to get things done.
A team player is somebody that actually contributes to the "team" and is not lazy. Someone who is willing to go the extra mile for the team.
Going the extra mile for a customer means to do the job plus more. A solid customer service representative will give the customer more than they expect.
When a person is said to go the extra mile, it is in reference to doing or working more than what is required. Going the extra mile in life is often the source of great rewards, and makes a person feel good about what they are doing.
