What would happen if the neolithic argricultural revolution never took place?

The neolithic revolution began when people discovered agriculture. Because of agriculture people could now farm instead of hunting and gathering.

What impact did the Neolithic revolution have on civilization?

I believe that the transition to agriculture led to a decline in womens rights. The reason for this largely stems from the fact that prior, during the Paleolithic Age, that is, men would do the hunting while women would do the gathering. However, as they turned to settled agriculture, women did not play as a large a factor in contributing to the food supply. This, in turn, led to a decline in their status.

What is the opposite of Neolithic age?

'Neolithic' is actually a reference to a time frame which comes from the Classical Greek meaning 'New stone'. I'll put the two words at the bottom for you. However there isn't really an antonym for neolithic as such. It's meant as more of a title than an adjective... The closest thing to an "opposite", which I would argue is a misunderstanding of the term, would perhaps be 'the modern age'. Hope that helps! νεος - New λιθος - Stone

Some people would call it the new stone age, but that is absolutely incorrect. The neolithic revolution is actually called the agriculture revolution, because people started growing crops instead of hunting and gathering; being a nomad.
