What does it feel like when a space shuttle break through earths atmosphere?

it feels good

What was the space shuttle's speed during reentry?

As the shuttle reaches entry interface, the point where it starts to feel the effects of the atmosphere, it is traveling at about Mach 24.5 or about 24,000 miles per hour.

Why does a man feel weightless on the moon?

They don't. The moon has gravity but not as much as earth so they feel that they have less weight. In outer space a person would feel weightless because no gravity that they could notice is acting upon them.

Is there gravity where space shuttles orbit?

A very low level, called microgravity, that's a small fraction of normal gravity. Astronauts feel weightless, by comparison. Space shuttles orbit at a distance of 100-200 miles above the Earth. The shuttle is actually falling toward the Earth all the time, but the speed of its orbit keeps it from falling any closer. Don't confuse gravity with weight. The Earth's gravity extends to the outer reaches of the Solar System. Earth's gravity is what keeps the satellites which are orbiting the Earth from flying away into space. "Weight" is measure of the local acceleration due to gravity. When a person is in orbit, inside a shuttle, he is falling along with the shuttle at about 17,000 miles per hour. The mass of the shuttle and the mass of the person are attracting each other with 'micro-gravity' which is a million times less than the gravity of the Earth.

How do you feel when you go to moon in a space shuttle?

The space shuttle does not go to the moon, or anywhere near it. It's designed for low Earth orbit missions... an altitude of maybe a couple of hundred miles, while the Moon is about a thousand times further away than that. At any time when a vehicle traveling in space is not accelerating... that is, most of the trip for any vehicle we've yet built... it is in freefall, so a passenger would feel weightless.

do you ever feel like space is the only place that would except you for who you are and not someone else?

yes I do feel like that often but if space is your only comfort than you will miss out on our life now. As much as i whish to have outer space as home i love the small things that we call beautiful.

How do space shuttles reduce gravity?

They do not. When an object such as the space is in orbit it is essentially in freefall. If you have been n a roller coaster you'll have found that you feel weightless when you are in freefall. The same effect applies on the space shuttle.

Would a triple beam balance work properly in outer space?

Yes, but it wouldn't be of any use. The balance operates by comparing the force of gravity on various masses. In outer space, since there is no large mass nearby, the force of gravity on any reasonable test-mass is essentially zero. The balance would accurately report the weight of every mass placed on it as 'zero', or close to it.

Why can't we fly of floot on earth?

we can't fly or float on earth because of gravity. Gravity keeps us from flying, floating, and falling of of the earth. In outer space it is different only because ther is no gravity in outer space and if there was the planets would most likely end up falling or we wouldn't be able to float in outer space anymore. But gravity is the main thing that keeps us on the ground!!! We can't feel gravity but that doesn't mean that it doesn't exist.

What is the brain cortex part of?

Feel with your fingers the "space" in the center of the back of your neck at the base of the skull. The cerebral cortex is directly above that.
