year make and model? take a plug out and crank the engine several times assuming it will not start. put in a new plug and crank the engine several times again. remove the new plug and see if the plug is wet or smells like fuel if so you are getting fuel to the cylinder if not you may hve an injection problem.
fuel injection as we know it now was invented by german ingeneers
The car has a high pressure electronic fuel injection system. It is HIGHLY unlikely that the fuel would be heated enough to boil when it is under 42 pounds of pressure.
1993 sc 400 fuel injection pump location? how do you know if it bad ?
Idiot 16 year old drivers who don't know what they are doingAdded:It also could be a problem with the fuel injection or fuel filter not letting enough fuel in the chamber for the combustion process.
I don't know yet, but since that is the project I will be pursuing within the next week, I WILL let you know!
i know this is fuel injection problem but where to start shop wants1200. to fix
Yes. EFI stands for Electronic Fuel Injection, so essentially anything that doesn't have a carburetor is EFI. (Exceptions to this would be mechanical fuel enjection, but as far as i know it was never done on a gasoline engine, only diesels). In 94, GM used a TBI injection system, meaning Throttle Body Injection. Its still computer controlled fuel injection, but it has two injectors where the carburetor would normally sit, instead of the more modern port injection, which uses a separate fuel injector for each cylinder.
Squirt some carb cleaner or a little starting fluid down into the throttle body then try to start the engine. If the engine attempts to run briefly you probably have a fuel delivery problem.
You can find almost anything you need to know about the V Star 1300's fuel injection here; http://forums.delphiforums.com/vstar1300t/messages?msg=149.1
if you want to know more about fuel injection pump, browse autoparts-oem.com,there are thousands of fuel pump parts, like nozzle, plunger, head rotor, delvievery valve, repair kit
Port Fuel Injection, meaning fuel injrctor sprays into the port of the intake manifold. The other type is TBI, throtle body injection. This type uses a central injector (or 2 injectors) that spay onto the throtle body butterfly. PFI is the better injection of the two
Yes, and I would like to know where the fuel pump is located.
