∙ 7y agoIt depends on what you are calling a memory stick. If you mean a USB dongle or key drive, then you should use the eject button in the system tray. Once you tell it you want to remove it and it gives you the confirmation that it is safe to remove it, you can then pull it out.
If you mean something else such as a DIMM module or other internal computer component, then you'd first want to make sure the computer is turned off and unplugged. Then you would make sure you are grounded, preferably wearing an anti-static strap, and you would carefully push the tabs holding in the memory you wish to remove. Some swivel and some pull straight out, and if you are in doubt as to how to remove it, please consult the service manual for the board or machine you are using.
