/etc/inittab
Type [id:5:initdefault:]
The default runlevel is specified in /etc/inittab. There is no universally accepted runlevel that is specified as the "default." Red Hat and Fedora use 3 or 5, Ubuntu uses 2, Mandriva and SUSE use 5, and Gentoo uses 3. Some (a relatively small number) Linux distros do not use a SysV init style, and thus have no runlevels at all.
Assuming the Linux distribution in question uses a classic SysV Init, you run, as root: # init 2 If you have systemd then there is no runlevel 2. I don't know about upstart. OpenRC is built around SysV Init, but likely systems using it generally ignore runlevels in favor of the initscript configs. Further, most Linux distributions I can think of don't use runlevel 2 at all. Check the documentation for your distribution to see what it is, if anything.
You would use a u switch for turning off and on a light, like a light switch. It could be used as some sort of an electric converter to power anything in your house or where ever you are.
You would have to use a dimmer switch I would think.

An automatic transfer switch would be used when one needs to switch energy from one source to another and cannot do it manually. It can be used to switch from electric to a generator when needed.

A common use - would be to use one printer with four computers. Each computer has a data cable leading to the 4-way switch - and the switch has one data cable leading to the printer. Each user turns the switch to the relevant position in order to use the printer.
Do you mean a change between GUI and console mode, then try the following, Press Ctrl+F1 to switch from GUI mode to console mode. F1 to F6 are console modes and use Ctrl+F7 to switch back to the GUI mode. Or if you mean, about changing the default mode (booting) from GUI to Console then try this, go to /etc/inittab file. change the runlevel id: to 3 for booting in Full-User mode.
Jeep does not use inertia/reset switches.
you can just use a toggle switch,,,you need a relay capable of the amps it takes for the starter.it would connect between the starter and the battery, then you would need a toggle switch preferably a momatary toggle switch to activate the relay.
