One best way to describe personality is to find out various personality traits that your beloved use to describe you, for example; parents, friends, relatives, cousin, girl/boy friend, etc. Someone whom you believe will give an honest comment. The traits can be outgoing, shy, friendly, supportive, curious, jolly, smart, intelligent, hardworking, notorious, introverted, extroverted, adaptive, sociable, intuitive, sensible, etc.

While using this approach one has to also probe further why your particular friend think in that way. For example if your friend says that you are friendly, ask him why he thinks so? He may explain things in his own way or may describe an incident which he observe about you during his presence or he may even narrate exactly what other speaks about you with him during your absence. In case he is not getting how to explain, you yourself may suggest him to use any of the above three technique.

Make a note of the description. As it may help you in describing about your personality when probed further. Most of the time in job interviews when somebody probes further about your personality, best way is to describe a personal event that occurred with you and is a comprehensible account to prove your description of a particular trait.

This will also help you in understanding your strengths and weakness. Kindly note that your strength and weaknesses may vary according to the job requirements. As these traits are situation-specific. Thus for one job one particular trait may be a strength and for other other it can be a weakness. You will have to analyze them depending on the job description in hand.
