It shouldn't. If your anti-virus says it is a virus or a trojan it's because XTrap is coded in a way similar to a virus or a trojan.
Why it is named as Trojan virus?
Because a Trojan looks like something it is not, say an antivirus program. There are plenty of real antivirus programs, but let's say that this one is not. You install it, update it, and it says that you are not protected. However, in the background, it is infecting your system in any number of ways. Perhaps when you "updated" it, a virus was downloaded. You never know, but one way or another, it eventually destroys your system, and you have no idea how it could have happened. You installed it yourself without realizing it.

Try downloading an actual antivirus program instead of web scanners. As for the slowing down, all old computers do it.

Try doing a factory restore on your computer to reset it back to it's original factory settings. You will loose everything, but it will get rid of the virus.
